Not silly at all Gay. It is a huge rollercoaster ride, and some of those feelings will always be with you. You never ever stop wanting, hoping or trying to conceive naturally, even when you are no longer childless due to the wonderful blessings of adoption. It's a natural maternal emotion. This will be an exciting time for you and a turbulent time, an emotional time and a joyous time. Please know that we are all here to support you.
