[Gay and Jeff Weusten]

Hello everyone, I'm so glad to see people here that we know.

It has been a rough few months for Jeff and I, but I am happy to say that our profile is now in with CYFS and we are in the pool as of friday last week. It took us 7 months to get it into them as I struggled so much with accepting that handing it in would mean the final acceptance that we would be adopting and not having children ourselves. But it feels right to do it at this time. We will be posting our one off to LDS Family services this week and have emailed them to let them know that it is on the way. Now the wait beings, and patience was never one of my virtues!!!

I hope everyone is well and happy. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone

Congratulatons Gay and Jeff! I think that the beauty of FSA is that we have all been through the same things... including that struggle of accepting that we will not have our own children. You know when the time is right. It took us a few years to come to the point of adopting and the Lord let us know when the time was right. I wanted to say that when you finally hold that little one in your arms, he or she will be no less yours than if you had created him or her yourself - it feels the same for everyone I have spoken to! And I know for myself that I am a better mother for having had to wait and sacrifice, than if it had come easy to me. I also have a testimony that the right child is placed in the right home at the right time - the Lord orchestrates this part of his Plan so perfectly!
