Oh, absolutely! Actually I thought it was a bit cheesy but the girls loved it! Had to put Maiah's one away out of sight cos it was getting chewed, hehe. Missed you guys yesterday at conference, hopefully you can make it next time. It was a small gro…
We're so happy for you! What gorgeous girls, and a beautiful family! Love the seal idea by the way, hope you don't mind if I steal it when our turn comes!
He looks so content, like he knows exactly what's happening and he's so happy about it!!!
Paul and Kimmi passed on your 'hello' to me. Hope to meet you properly in September if you can come. - Geri
Oh, and one more suggestion was to follow on from the Higgins' suggestion a few months ago that we somehow address the infertility/grief topic? Perhaps speak to the Higgins about some ideas? Also Michael Satele may have some ideas from his LDS Advis…
We gave our girls a little stuffed seal each in the Temple, with an engraved tag on each - with the girls' names on and their sealing dates, & "eternally ours..."
Hi there Kathie,
One suggestion which was made for last time by the Fesolais I think, but which we did not get to cover, was some sort of workshop or discussion on "when and how to tell the kids they're adopted".
Also, I am personally really inter…
Thank you my friend. I appreciate your prompt turn around of these documents. It's quite a detailed process isn't it. I thank you. All the best with your coming proceedings. Love you.
Kia ora Geri. I have just received a copy of Joy Saunders Lundberg & Janice Kapp Perry's book "Do you have a little love to share?" It contains music and lyrics (vocals/piano) for adoption songs. I'm not sure if you are familiar with any of the music but the songs are beautiful. Some of them are written for a birth mother/adoptive mother duet, some for adopted child/adopted mother; Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa; songs for dads; songs for mums; songs for child; adoptive parents duet; and one for a birth mother, case worker & adoptive parents. They are so beautiful. I thought we could use some for conference, but perhaps they could be used to accompany a fireside or small production.
Well thanks for the Info about the adoption agencies in OZ. I have been trying to conceive for the last 4 years or so. A few factors 1 weight and a few probs in the "Plumbing" but as the Gyno said nothing a good pregnancy would not fix. have to get preggers 1st. I am sooooooo clucky and have been told in numerous blessings I will have kids but it gets very despondent and over the past year or so I have thought adoption may be an avenue to look at. There are really no support networks that i have found yet in Oz thru the church but when i saw this group that kathy had posted on Face book I had to join and check it out etc. I am 2 far away to come to the conferences etc. But knowing their are church families who have gone thru the same thing and know what it is like etc is a good thing. U do not tend to here about families in the church having trouble to have a family etc. I am glad I have found this group and may give me some ideas etc to think about some more.
